  1. We were looking up Viking names and Odin means God of War. We went through a “war” for him. He’s an IVF baby, we’re so glad he fought to be here.

  2. We chose Odin because he is a Norse god, the god of war and ferryman for the dead to the underworld. My husband and I love mythology and have loved the name for awhile now. So once we found out we were having a son, his name was set.

  3. My husband is really into Greek mythology and brought up the name Odin as a suggestion and right then I fell in love with it. I think the name is very different but not so different that’s it’s “out there”. It sounds strong and is a short simple name. For short we call him Odie! I have no complaints about it his name I love it just as much as I did when i first heard it and never even considered another one.

  4. Our second son is Odin. I liked the “en” sound without being “Aiden, Kayden, Jayden etc” which are super popular/overdone. Our little Odin has a strong personality and a name to go with it !

  5. We chose the name Odin because we wanted a name that was unique and strong. We enjoy Marvel movies, and Thor is one of my favorite characters. Odin is Thor’s dad’s name. My husband and both like the name Odin for its uniqueness and meaning.

  6. Wanted something different and daddy likes Norse gods
