It was one of the only names I liked consistently throughout my pregnancy. We didn’t find out the gender until birth, so when I saw he was a boy, I knew his name would be Urban! I love that it’s an old-fashioned name, but not necessarily a classic name. It’s not so “out there” that my grandparents don’t like the name, which was important to me. The only downside so far is that when I tell people his name, I often have to clairfy that it is UR-BAN, not IR-VIN.
