Share Your Thoughts 2 Comments Caitie Mar 24 at 9:41 am My husband and I were playing around with names WAY before we even found out we were pregnant. My husband found Elara- which is one of Jupiter’s moons. Well, we already had a son named Alexander and I knew if I had a girl I wanted an “A” name to match his. So, we switched the E in Elara to an A, Alara. Pronounced like ALARm clock- Ah-LAR-Ah. She gets a lot of Ah-LER-ah’s but we’re okay correcting. We’ve never seen this name before and are excited that she’ll have a “one of a kind” moniker, plus I thought it was sweet that her Daddy had it all picked out before she was ever his little girl! Her full name is Alara Mae Lynn and I’ve resorted to calling her Alara Mae. Reply Chelsea Mar 9 at 12:51 pm My daughter is also Alara, me an my partner was trying to find a name for our first born! I suggested Lara an he suggested putting an A at the beginning it grew on me during pregnancy an as I had never heard it I though we had made it up! Later to find there are a few around, however still unusual but I love the name more the older she gets! She’s my Alara Faye xx Reply Share your thoughts on the name Alara Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.
