  1. My daughter’s name is Britta Louise (“Britta Lou“). My grandma Louise was Swedish and also the kindest, lost loving woman, loved by all. Britta is also a Swedish name. I love my Scandinavian heritage and hope to instill that love in Britta and that she grows to be a loving bright spot in the world like my grandma Lou!

    I like shorter names and I like that my daughter has a B name like I do.

  2. My husband’s and my ancestors are all from Norway, so we wanted to use Scandinavian names. So many names from this part of the world are harsh (Olga, Goode, etc), but I love how crisp and feminine Britta sounds <3 Classic yet not overused…

  3. I chose this name because it wasn’t very well known. Also it was a name of a relative back in our family and I thought that it was beautiful.
