  1. We chose it because it sounds pretty! And her nickname is Delphi, which we think is cute. We like names that suit all ages of life, and we think this name fits that, it’ll be great as a baby, child, teen and adult. It happens to have 4 meanings, a place, plant, person and animal – Delphi in Greece, Delphinium flowers, the Oracle of Delphi, and it’s French for Dolphin. Also it’s not very popular and a bit old fashioned (last popular in the 1920’s) so it has a bit of uniqueness without being so unique that people wouldn’t know how to spell it etc.
