I am turning 40 in June, so this was half my life ago! When I met her I said, “Ruby, I love your name! I’m going to name my daughter that one day!” She laughed and I thought, “Why did I just say that to a complete stranger?!” In 2018, I didn’t even know if I would be married. I was in Brazil on a mission trip and my cousin texted me and said, “What do you think about Ruby for a girl’s name?” I said to her, “What are you talking about? I’ve thought for years now that I would name a little girl ‘Ruby’!” She said, “I had a dream. We were decorating for a baby shower. There was a cake on the table with one sparkling word “Ruby”. I looked over and you had a beautiful baby bump!” I started crying because I knew that meant that I would be married and have a daughter one day. I am a bee keeper and an evangelist of Jesus Christ. When my husband and I got together, we started to call our home “The Bee Hive” because we both have names that start with “B” and our pets do too.? Brent, my husband, said that we needed to spell Rubee’s name with two e’s because she is a bee too! Bees are pollinators, and we are pollinators for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Rubee’s middle name is Rainbow ? because her daddy and I had a rainbow wedding and because rainbows are a symbol of God’s promise. God ALWAYS keeps His promises, and my babee is living proof!
