Share Your Thoughts 5 Comments Solstice B Hurst Jul 14 at 7:46 pm I was born in 1991, my father named me Solstice. I may have been the first. It took years for me to truly appreciate my name, and continue to have issues with at least half the people I interact with unable to pronounce it properly. But it is special. My dad wanted me to be “connected to the earth.” What a beautiful thing. Reply Kris Jan 7 at 5:44 pm I named my dau this in 2006, long before Lionel Shriver wrote “Big Brother.” I am only aware of one other person, older than her with the name, who changed her name to Solstice. She will be glad to know that there are others who share her name because she doesn’t like that’s it’s not common. Reply Solstice Jun 6 at 11:18 pm I was born before they say when the name spiked in 2013… so only five other babies have been born beside me? Like, ever? Reply Chanele Aug 12 at 1:32 am Solstice is the beginning of something beautiful. A new season full of blessings and hope and changes. Reply Crystal Apr 22 at 8:40 pm I knew I wanted a name that dealt with the sunlight. My husband and I toyed around with Sunflower, Solana, Soleil.. but Solstice just hit us.. and she has truly turned out to be a big ball of fire. In all its glory. She is 10 years old now and I feel we have a great force for the future among us. Reply Share your thoughts on the name Solstice Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.
