  1. My husband and I like Tolkiens books very much. The bame Gwendolyn sounded for us lije a name from the book, although we know, there is no such name in the Mythology from Tolkien. My husband is also a musician, and this name ha’s a nice melody for us.

  2. As a Child, I Hated My Name Because It was unusual and no one else had the name. As I became older, I Fell in Love with my name, Gwendolyn because there was only one other Gwen in the Neighborhood. She was older than I was. Today, I am Proud of My Name. And, if I had a Daughter, I Would Name Her After Me.

  3. My SO went thru a baby name app and favorited names were Liked. We matched on two names, Gwendolyn and Guinevere. We both just loved Gwendolyn so much and gave her the nickname Gwennie. We wanted a classic but not over user name. Gwendolyn was perfect.

  4. I picked this name because it is pretty and unique. I didn’t want a popular name that she will share with 10 other girls in her school. I also love that she can have the option to choose to be called Gwen.

  5. i love the name gwendalyn its very optimistic pure at heaet but i just hate the shyness

  6. I’ve always loved the name Gwendolyn, its unique.

  7. Our sweet Gwendolyn Skye goes by Gwen. I have always loved the name Gwen so it is special and sweet to me. I love older and unique names.

  8. It fell into the family roots of my husband (Welsh) fit well with our sons Irish name, and offered so many nicknames. We love Gwendolyn as it is and call her Gwendolyn, Gwennie, and Gwen, but felt like it offered a little bit of freedom.
