  1. Skye is short and sweet. I wanted something that was carefree, a bit more uncommon, and I pay attention to the meanings/origins of names. Skye is attached to being adventurous, a protector, and a scholar. Skye was a perfect fit for my daughter. It’s free-spirited, with enough depth.

  2. We picked her name after the Isle of Skye in Scotland where my husband’s ancestors lived and after the legendary female warrior it’s named after.
