Clytie
“A devotee of the sun.” In Greek mythology, Clytie was a nymph who fell in love with Apollo the sun-god. She received no encouragement from her love object, and thus, in grief, transformed herself into a flower, the heliotrope, which followed her beloved sun-god as he rode through the skies on his daily course.
