Achilles
“The thin-lipped,” from the Greek a (without) and chelyne (lip). In Greek legend, the hero who was rendered in vulnerable as an infant by being dipped into the river Styx. Only his heel, by which his mother held him, remained vulnerable; hence Achilles’ heel, the symbol of a weak or vulnerable spot.
