  1. My husband picked our baby boys name and I will pick our baby girls if we ever have one!

  2. I have always loved the name Lucas. I’m Brazilian & Portuguese. I speak Portuguese fluently and I love the way Lucas is pronounced both in English & in Portuguese. So it was easy to choose that has the name & my husband loved it also. Now I wrote it as Lukas because there are so many kids named Lucas I wanted to be a little different.

  3. Always liked the Name

  4. We wanted an L name like our other son (Landon). We loved the sound of Lucas, but wanted to change it up by spelling it Lukas instead.

  5. We couldn’t decide on any of the names we had picked out through the entire pregnancy so the week before his arrival we started from scratch. My husband found “Lucas” online but liked it with a “k” instead so we went with it!

  6. We were looking for a name that could be used in at least three languages (French, English and Polish) since we live in France, but also have American and Polish roots. We liked that it was a name you could shorten to different nicknames (Lou or Luke) yet it felt “classic”. We considered a name in one of our families but the debates were too heated! This was a happy neutral name for us, we don’t have a family member or friends with the name!

  7. Lucas films the maker of star wars.

  8. He is my joy.

  9. I just love the name.
