  1. We love the old fashioned feminine names for girls! Cordelia sounds regal, which is fitting for our firstborn. St. Cordula is her patron saint and the latin root of the name means “little heart”. And there’s a little Easter egg for Anne of Green Gables fans like me!

  2. I googled “vintage girl names”, and Cordelia was one of the names on the list. I really wanted to find an old fashioned name that you don’t hear much anymore, so Cordelia was PERFECT! And I really liked that we could shorten Cordelia to Delia or Cordy as nicknames.
Another plus, Cordelia means “heart (or daughter) of the sea”, or “jewel of the sea”.
