I did however like some of the nicknames that came with Elizabeth such as Ellie, Elsie and Ella. So I did a quick search for other names that I could use those nicknames with and stumbled upon Elswyth. I like that it’s such a unique and beautiful name. I dislike that most people have to ask me to repeat it a few times because they are not sure what I said just because it’s such a unique name, especially here in Canada but, I thought that would be the case long before we chose it and I don’t mind. From what I found about the name it means ‘elf from the willow trees’ and considering that the Willow Tree is my favourite, I adore this name!
