  1. We’re parents affiliated with the Christian religion and have strong faith in God, so I’ve always preferred names for my children that reflect our faith and the truth about how they were given to us by God. Jayla means ‘God will protect”, it also means ‘victory’, and ‘hhealing’; and yes she has brought all these attributes to my life.

I have one other child so far, he is Jaden, 9 years old, and his name means ‘Asked of God’, and ‘God has heard’, that’s exactly how it was with him, he is the beautiful answer to our then prayers.

  2. I am extremely close to my nieces.
I allowed them to each pick a J name!!
Jayla (picked my oldest niece) Marie (after 2nd niece middle name, my middle name & my moms) & Jett (older full term brother name who died 3 weeks after being born from true cord knot which caused lack of oxygen leading to severe brain damage).

  3. My son’s name is Jaxxon so was looking for an unused J name. My husband picked it. It also goes with her middle name well. Jayla Rae ?

    • My name is Jayla, and my little brother is named Jaxson after Jax from sons of anarchy.

  4. My daughter’s name is Jayla Joy.
It was hard picking a name her dad was saying no to all the names I had in mind so I told him you pick her first name and I will pick her middle name so I picked Joy because I had a feeling that she would bring so much joy to everyone and my self and indeed she’s my joy and everyone’s joy as well she’s really a happy baby I’m so blessed to have you her
