  1. We chose the name Matilda so we could use the nickname Mati in honor of a boy I grew up with who died from cancer when he was 8 years old. 16 years later and I have a Mati/Matty again!

  2. I love this name

  3. We named her after my husbands grandmother. We call her Tilly.

  4. It was chosen after our great grandmother as she was a strong woman with loving and care nature.
It also means battle mighty which I hope our daughter will represent at some point in her life ?

  5. I chose matilda after me and my husband’s favorite movie it fit perfectly with her last name Mccaffrey

  6. I chose Matilda because it’s old school and unique and not many girls have that name her middle name is Nicole because her aunt’s middle name is Nicole and Mccaffrey for her last name after her dad

  7. We chose Matilda to honor my husband’s late great grandmother Matilda. She came over to Ellis Island during the invasion of Poland. Matilda’s middle name, Caroline, was to honor my mother in law, Angela Carol. ? We are very close to our family, so we figured what better way to honor them than to name our last child after them!
