But her name is actually Je’thalia Reply Sheridan May 5 at 6:47 pm Thalia is a family name. My mom’s great aunt from greece who was the first wave to move to the US. The name means blossom and our baby was born on May Day which is an added bonus. She is our flower child? Reply Cheyanne Sep 3 at 11:16 am Months before we had her, me and my husband were talking baby names for our future babies. It was just a topic that came up. I stumbled upon the name and instantly was in love and I couldn’t get it out of my head but i didn’t share it with my partner because I was scared he wouldn’t like it and I was going to be heartbroken. So our little princess, was an absolute surprise and we actually looked for different girl names for a while but none felt right. So after names like Charlotte, Elyse, Victoria.. I finally told him the name Thalia. He fell I love with it. I was so happy. Thalia means to bloom or to flourish. And it felt perfect because she basically bloomed out of nowhere. So we also associate her with a sunflower because sunflowers can bloom out of nowhere and wildly. Reply MnM22 Nov 6 at 10:04 pm Wow I love your voice and inspirational thoughts about this name.
