  1. I always loved the name Cairo. My husband name is Kevin, so we changed the first letter to K for that reason. Also the meaning”victorious one” was super fitting. I absolutely love our son’s name.

  2. All of our children’s name start with the letter K in honor of my late mother, Karen. Our first born is Khalil which means good Friend. Our second born is Karengton which incorporates my mother’s name. We choose Kairo for our 3rd child because this name represents victory …it actually means victorious one. Each name has a significant meaning encouraging each child to live up to the meanings behind who they are.

  3. My name Berniecce means the one who brings victory.
    And Kairo means victorious one.
He is the victor or victory that I had the privilege of bringing into the world.

  4. Just so you know.. I was the first one inventing this name, 14 years ago.. I don’t like common names or anything common.. no offense.
So I baby sitter I had who was pregnant wanted to name his son after my son too.. and she did, so can I claimed it ??
The same I did with the other youngest son, but the people have more problems with it, trying to figure if it’s a boys name or girls name .. so that’s best
When I first told the nurse she was confused about the name.. and I explain why and how it’s spell.. then she said to me that in Greek kairos means in God’s time.. but obviously the Kairo name it’s growing and it’s not English btw!! Yes my son was born in MI USA. but the name ya NOT English.. is Spanish..
The K is strong and the R.. you roll it like in Spanish… soft R.
BECAUSE A SPANISH MOM CREATED IT and THAT IS HOW IT IS PRONOUNCED WITH SPANISH ACCENT!! ?
    Yes.

    • Pretty sure the name Kairo has been around much longer so you cannot lay claim to a name, especially since it is actually Muslim in origin. Cairo is the Capitol of Egypt, and has been for generations, and many have been named after it, even with the different spellings. Sorry, but you didn’t invent the name.

  5. We believe boys should have strong names, and because of that our sons’ full name means Victorious Ruler. My first sons’ name is also a strong name…Rajeed means strength.

  6. It was a compliment to the meaning of my name which means ” the one who brings victory”.

  7. I named my son Kairo because when I first found out I was pregnant I was in no position to care for a second child ( I also have a 4 year named Karter) so I initially wanted an abortion but after thinking about it strongly I decided not to . I kept saying my new baby will be something so meaningful to this world . After finding out I was pregnant with my second boy of course I wanted his name to start with a “K” and the name Kairo spoke to me. Kairo also means “victorious” so it fit perfectly.
