  1. My father’s surname was Roose and I live in North Wales. I have traced the family back to 905! They are from Notingham, Derbyshire, then North Wales, with some living in Liverpool and London.
    Although several Roose members from Wales went to America in the 1800s
    Famous people in my “Roose” are Leigh Richmond Roose,(1877-1916) famous footballer in the early 1900s. Dr Robson Roose(1848-1905), Doctor to Winston Churchill and his father. William Roos, famous portrait painter of North Wales and James Roose Evans(1889-1894)
    famous play writer.
