  1. We wanted something biblical and unique, so the names of the disciples were out haha We chose Zion before we found out the gender, so we were planning to use the name either way.

We love how strong it sounds, what it means, and matches the vibe of our family. 🙂

  2. Zion is a biblical name and very special to me

  3. Love it

  4. My husband and I were going through a rough patch during what was a very difficult pregnancy and I took a day at a friends house to rest and take a break. I decided to do a bit of movement and turned on her stereo and Lauryn Hill’s To Zion was playing and I knew that was our baby’s name and everything was going to be ok ?

  5. The name Zion is often used to describe a place appointed by the Lord where his followers can live and serve God. Scripture refers to Zion as the “City of Holiness” and a “city of refuge” where the Lord protects his people from the evils in the world.

  6. We looked up biblical names & wrote some down.
But when we went for our 13week scan, I asked God who is this boy in my womb?! I instantly the name Zion popped up.
Then my husband & I kept praying as we also liked Judah, and the meaning of both names meant a lot to us.
Zion was born and we still hadn’t named him as yet. A friend of mine gave me a prophetic word about our baby & she actually wrote down his name to be Zion (she had noooo idea that was one of the names we were tossing up between).

    • Great is his faithfulness

  7. I love nature and Zions national park

  8. I just love it

  9. We love the name Zion because we prayed for this baby after the loss of my grandfather, and we look forward to the Lords kingdom (the new Jerusalem, Zion, the holy city) where all sorrow is gone.

  10. It’s a special name because my husband choose it he said god has giving him a second chance at life he sees his self as being a better person by raising him up to be a better man then he was I don’t have any dislikes about his name it’s a beautiful name it’s spelled differently zyon in stead but it’s a beautiful name and it fits him

  11. I loved how it was in the Bible referring to a mountain, he came out strong and it was the perfect name for him

  12. I chose the name Zion when I was young after listening to Lauren Hill’s “To Zion” I thought about how great it would be to have a child with their own song. As I got older I looked into the Hebrew meaning of the name and it means “monument” and that’s what I want for my son’s life. I want him to be strong and monumental.
