  2. When I was growing up, I had never met another with my name, which I loved. I think I was 9 before I saw another Aynsley (never spelled the same way….), and 16 when I met an Ansley!!! Now I hear it quite often, but I still like it. Mine is pronounced “Ann’s Lee“, and I do hear both Ann and Ain…I love the comment about the sassy girls named Aynsley. Must be the meaning of the name, as it’s my favorite way to act…

  6. We chose the name Ainsley because I used to work at a preschool in college and I had a little girl in my class named Ainsley. She was such a tiny thing but so full of sass and I just loved her. I’ve always liked the name so when we found out we were having a girl I knew it was a top contender. I love that it’s not a name you hear too often and it sounds so classic. The one thing I’ve found is that despite how it’s spelled, we hear it mispronounced as “Ann-sley” pretty often. It was definitely a perfect fit for our sweet girl and she is just as sassy as I hoped she’d be when we picked it out.
