  1. I love the name! My granddaughter’s name is Ainsley. She was named after my father. His middle name was Ainsley and he was born in 1949.

  2. When I was growing up, I had never met another with my name, which I loved. I think I was 9 before I saw another Aynsley (never spelled the same way….), and 16 when I met an Ansley!!! Now I hear it quite often, but I still like it. Mine is pronounced “Ann’s Lee“, and I do hear both Ann and Ain…I love the comment about the sassy girls named Aynsley. Must be the meaning of the name, as it’s my favorite way to act…

  3. We were watching the West Wing during early pregnancy and really liked a character named Ainsley. I suggested it one day to my husband who also liked it. It’s a name that isn’t weird but no one knows a ton of Ainsley’s

  4. I really loved the first name Jade. My husband didn’t love Jade as a first name and suggested Ainsley. Our old daughter’s name is Audrey and I thought having two A names was cool. We decided on Ainsley for first name and middle name Jade. We call her AJ.

  5. We were looking for a name that began with “A” to maintain a family tradition. Ainsley has a similar origin (Celtic) and related meaning to my name.

  6. We chose the name Ainsley because I used to work at a preschool in college and I had a little girl in my class named Ainsley. She was such a tiny thing but so full of sass and I just loved her. I’ve always liked the name so when we found out we were having a girl I knew it was a top contender. I love that it’s not a name you hear too often and it sounds so classic. The one thing I’ve found is that despite how it’s spelled, we hear it mispronounced as “Ann-sley” pretty often. It was definitely a perfect fit for our sweet girl and she is just as sassy as I hoped she’d be when we picked it out.
