  1. My name is actually longer (Ann-Jenette) but everyone has always called me Annie in my adult years. It actually has biblical significance and comes from the name Hannah, a prominent woman in the Bible who was barren until her older years and then by the blessing of God gave birth and had children.

  2. Her name is Annie Kate- legally Anne Kate named after my grandmother Anne. We like to call her Annie Kate or Annie.

  3. I’ve always thought the name Annie was so cute. My husbands paternal grandmother was Ann and my paternal grandmother was Ann. So I also love that it has family ties on both sides. I also feel like it’s a great name for a baby and adult.

    • I was named after my dad’s elder sister. In Africa they like naming after people. The history is that she was originally called Hannah but she thought it was rather old fashioned and changed it to Anna. I later changed mine to Ann although my official documents have Annie. I love it. ?
