  1. The father absolutely loved the name Catalina and was set to having a daughter with that name. Her middle name is Esmeralda. I chose Catalina Esmeralda since it has a very poetic sound, plus the meanings. Catalina means “pure,” while the name Esmeralda is a beautiful forest green jewel, which represents her birth month. So you could say she’s a pure gem ?

  2. My husband chose the name Catalina since it is a family name, and I loved it as well.

  3. We wanted an old school spanish name and came across this one. We named her Catalina Rosario and as nickname will call her Cat or Cat Rose.
