She’s got dark hair like her dad whereas her sister Teagan Rose has blonde hair like my daughter but, Finnley and Teagan are unique names in our families and Elizabeth was chosen to commemorate my recently deceased sister and my wife’s mother. Rose was chosen to commemorate my mother and my son in laws grandmother who had passed prior. There’s a lot that goes in to picking your child’s name! Reply Nunya buisness Jun 12 at 10:08 am I just think it’s so adorable for a baby and as a strong, adult woman Reply Allison Aug 23 at 10:40 pm We chose Finley because it is a family name. It was my grandma’s maiden name. We both just happened to love it which was rare! Reply Kristen May 17 at 11:57 am I’ve always loved the name Finley and it means Fair Warrior I just love that it’s also Irish and that’s my husbands lineage. Reply Allison Jun 8 at 6:48 pm My husband is an avid outdoorsman. Finley is named after Huckleberry Finn. She’s already so adventurous and we just love it! Reply Lu Apr 13 at 6:43 pm We wanted something a little different but not too crazy. We weren’t trying to go for a unisex name but I really enjoyed the idea of an Irish name. I searched on Pinterest and a couple different baby name websites. I came across Finley while searching Irish Baby Girl Names on Pinterest. At first I thought my husband would hate it, but he surprised me and fell in love with it too. With a unisex name, you often get people asking your baby’s name and then being unsure if they are a boy or a girl if their outfit is also pretty gender neutral that day. The more we said Finley, the more feminine it seemed. We think it fits her super well. I am sure the opposite is true if you kept saying Finley and envisioning your future boy, it would seem more masculine.
