  1. My name is Hadley. I don’t really think it suits me. I know 2 other people with the name Hadley.

    • i know noone called hadley in real life

  2. Hadley sounded like a sweet southern belle to me, also I’m a huge nickname person so I liked her nickname Haddie Mae as well.

  3. I have two older kids named Hunter & Havanah, so when I found out I was pregnant with my third and it was a girl I wanted to find another H name I loved. It took me a while but when I discovered the name Hadley I knew that was the name for our baby girl. Three years on and her name fits her perfectly – I love the Ernest Hemingway connection as well as the English meaning of the name. It’s also unusual and people often comment on how lovely her name is.

  4. My name is Hadley, and I just love how I have never met another Hadley. Many teachers at my school have been teaching for 20+ years, and they have never meet anyone with my name!!

  5. We liked that the name is not very common but easy to spell and pronounce. It fits well for a baby or little girl and will still sound nice as an adult. Also liked the English origins of it, there are even a few towns in the UK named Hadley.

  6. Hadley is not a name I had ever considered before, but 6 months before I got pregnant I had a dream that I had a little girl and named her “Hadley.” My husband and I both liked the name, so when I became pregnant and found out it was a girl, we went with it!

  7. Just went through a came up with it from a book and we both liked it so it stuck

  8. It was sweet, simple and just different enough!

  9. I’ve always liked the name Hadley. It’s different and unique.. we chose her name because I loved the name Hadley and her middle name is Jaycee after her daddy’s best friend that passed away 10 yrs ago.

  10. Hadley is our fifth baby, so with four other siblings that are older it was hard to find a name that wasn’t already used by friends and family, and that we both liked. We liked Hadley because it was a little different and not very popular. My other children’s names (Violet, Cora, Graham, and Lila) don’t have the “EE” sound at the end, so we thought it might be a nice change of pace. We also found out it was Ernest Hemingway’s first wife’s name and so we like that about it since we like old fashion and literary names.
