  1. hi

    • I can say this for sure. Lane was my father’s name. He was born in 1902. The same year as my grandmother. I’ve never know my father’s father but he was the son of a slave in Alabama around the town Selma, Marion and Billingsley Alabama. Wish some one could really help me find out my father’s history.

  2. Lane Henry. As a child, my husband always wanted to be a bull rider when he “grew up”, and his favorite movie was 8 Seconds. We’ve always liked the name Lane, after Lane Frost. The middle name Henry was a family name from both sides.

  3. I remember a young boy I followed on Facebook who passed away from cancer. His name was Lane . I will Forever be reminded of his strength and the hope he gave others when I hear or see this name. To me, Lane means strength.

  4. Layne Staley from the band Alice In Chains is my favorite! I wanted to name my son after but thought the y in it made it to girlie so we went plain lane.

  5. Named after Lane Frost (bullrider)

  6. I have a Lane Thomas after the great Layne Thomas Staley
