  1. My daughters name is Maryn and she was born in 2010. It’s an absolutely beautiful name with a beautiful meaning and that’s why we chose it. Interestingly my husband’s name is Ryan and my name is Amy and her name uses the letters of our names combined. It was unintentional and we didn’t realize it until after she was born.

  2. My mother named me Marilyn when I was born in 1953, after her two best friends. I always thought it sounded pretty but felt old-ladyish. At 55, undergoing a major lude transition I realized I needed a new name. After weeks of mulling over names I loved, Maryn simply dropped over me like a mantle. I had never heard it before and was instantly in love. 13 years later I never tire of people saying what a pretty bame it is. And as for pronunciation it’s quick and easy to say with a smile “Rhymes with Karen, Erin, Sharon.” Love love love it

  3. I’m named Maryn and was born in 1999. I’ve always loved my name so much and got sooo many compliments on it ! I’ve been told many times that spelling it Maryn instead of Marin or Maren is much more feminine and pretty.

    • We went back and forth on the spelling. Maren, Maryn, Marren. Ultimately, we decided on Maryn because it looks easier to pronounce and we liked the look better than using an E. Our girl is now 4 and she continues to get compliments about her name. Hopefully it will not become a popular name.?

  4. We named our daughter Maryn after my grandmother. We also loved the meaning of “sea” since we are beach people to the core. Her twin brother’s name means ocean and we loved that the meanings of their names are tied together.
