I think it’s feminine, and is beautiful for a first or middle name. It’s sort of a nod to my first name (Wynne), in that it also starts with a W. Our daughters name is Cecelia Wren. LOVE that it’s also a little bird!! Reply Cortney Jan 24 at 7:38 am We wanted our daughter to have my husbands late mom’s initials… But we wanted something more on the unique side, but easily pronounced and there aren’t many options for W. We are outdoorsy people, and a name meaning ‘a little song bird’ just seemed perfect! Reply Brittany Mar 8 at 4:47 am We named our daughter Wren Elizabeth. My husband’s name is Wynn & our last name is 9 letters long, so I wanted to give our daughter a break with a short first name. I wanted my daughter to have a unique name as well. She’s named Elizabeth after my mom. I love her name & it fits her perfectly! Reply Michelle Ekhoff Sep 6 at 1:45 pm My husband and I couldn’t agree on a name. I gave him a list of 50+ names I liked. He hated them all and gave me “Dwight” “Lloyd” and “Leroy” all of which i hated. We finally agreed on wren. I came up with it. I actually like it better for a boy than for a girl…it’s more common for girls but I just don’t see it as a girl name. Reply Jess Jul 12 at 12:45 pm I chose Wren for my daughter after a specific species of bird, the Winter Wren. I paired it with the Linnaea as her middle name, the scientific name of the twin flower, that happens to grow on the Matanuska glacier that my mom visited in Alaska while pregnant with me. (I actually didn’t know this until after Wren was born, as I chose the name because I liked the way it flowed with her first name.) my mom and grandpa like to call her Wrenny-Penny.
