  1. I think it’s a pretty cool name seeing as it’s my name, and overall I’d say it’s somewhat unique, especially in its gender neutralness, however it is apparently like top 30 of all names in the world so I don’t exactly know how unique it actually really is.

  2. I chose his name because my nephew’s both have on in their names and my niece has an A name and I wanted to continue the on and A theme.

  3. My husband and I just love the name and love it even more now that our son has it

  4. Love it! Goes well with my other two boys, Patrick and Finley.

  5. My husband really pushed for this name as soon as the pregnancy test was positive. (before we knew he was even a boy) I was really skeptical of the name. I really wanted the name Joel, but I was willing to setting Joel as a middle name. Long story short, we were pregnant with BOY TWINS! We both went with our favourite name for each boy. We ended up with, Ashton Oliver Reed and Joel Rafe Reed. Ashton has surprisingly grown on me as a name. We Ashton by Ash most of the time.

  6. All of my children’s names begin with A. I thought Ashton went well with Avery and Aiden.

  7. A friend help name him

  8. I loved the name Asher, but the “SH” sound is actually complicated and easy to fumble over. Ashton gives it a more “completeness” verbally. I only know of one other boy in the area with the name, and Ash is an adorable nickname.
Just be forewarned… There’s lots of gender confusion with this name if your babies present androgynous!

  9. How and why we chose the name Ashton was through my husband he said that name after myself and our daughters went through every A name you could think of. Had to be an A name since I wanted an A name since my first child never settled on one that I truly liked. When we said Ashton I was like the actor Ashton Kutcher and it just sound cool with the last name Jones and flowed smoothly. There’s nothing I dislike about the name. I like how modern and cool the name sounds. Ashton is now a 15 month old busy toddler boy when he is awake and when he is calm and sleeping he is the sweetest most cuddly little piece of my heart.

  10. I love that name

  11. I chose Ashton mainly because my name is Ashley and I wanted to name him for myself.

  12. ??

  13. Ashley is mom Ashton is son. His name was suppose to be Ashtyn Nicholas but after a hard hospital labor and recovery.(never labored in hospital again). I accidentally wrote Ashton James on the birth certificate.

  14. I love this name. It’s my husband’s middle name. It just has such a nice ring to it.

  15. My boyfriend cousin picked the name. His name is a name of a street I use to live on.

  16. I had a dream about Ashton Sky’s name and I know it was the one! I love it 🙂

    • Very cool. My son’s name is Ashton Blake & my daughter is Aja Skye

  17. We just always loved it 🙂
