  1. It’s such a pretty and delicate name. It’s meaning is, “pledged to God”and “God is perfection”

  2. I chose Isabel because it means pledged to God and it also matches her dad’s name -Isaac. Her middle name is Dahlia which is the national flower of Mexico my birth country.

  3. Family name

  4. Isabel is a regal name that sounds feminine and classy. It comes with some cute nicknames – Belle, Isa (pronounced ee-suh), Izzy, Elly, Belly, Elle. We chose this spelling of the name because it’s less popular than the French spelling of Isabelle, which also looks a little bit more frilly and girly. Originally, my husband wanted to name our daughter Isabella, but when I told him that the name Isabella and Bella became SO popular when the Twilight books/movies came out, he decided to shorten it to Isabel.

  5. I think it’s a beautiful name and of all the names, it’s the only one that my husband and I were both in love with. I also love the nickname Izzy. When she was born, she looked like an Isabel too
