  1. We liked Noa because of its soothing short and soft sound and the meaning is movement in Hebrew.
Then we liked it even more when we discovered that Noa means freedom in Hawaiian, as we lived in Hawaii for 6 months and love the Polynesian islands.
Both are qualities I wish for my baby girl: to be free and to always move and adapt to change ?

  2. We chose her name because of the reference in the Bible (Numbers 27:1-11) to one of the daughters of Zelophehad named Noa. She petitioned Moses for an inheritance in the promised land even though she was a woman.

  3. I messed Noa up, actually, it’s Noa.

  4. Mommy actually had a Noah that was a girl.

  5. My names Noa, and tbh I didn’t like it at all, but I kinda like it now. It’s just annoying sometimes having to correct people saying “No h at the end” or “I’m a girl”

    • Hi! My name is Noa too, as you can see. I definitely agree with you! I’ve had to explain my name to numerous people, and in the past I’ve had issues with people saying (true story) “You’re the one with the boy name, right? Jeff, was it?”, and other assorted comments. I used to not like my name because of this, because it comes with that built in annoyance, but I can’t imagine my name as anything else. I’m Noa, Noa is me, and I love my name now!

    • Though Noa is not my real name, I just made it up actually when i was in junior high, due to many of my friends carry the same name as mine. But later i found out it’s actually a real name ^_^ . and yes, im also having trouble to introduce my name as people saying “nor” or “noah”. but I love this name still <3

      • I have an issue splitting thoughts to the deepest and darkest area of the proverbial needle-in the-haystack. I then inadvertently go back though the Same Event with a multitude of prerogatives that don’t adhere to my preoccupied schedule; Noa what I mean jelly bean? I also believe that delegating authority to others pays in trust; I do invest in people, n baby.. Business is a boomin like Noah Khamun Ningiszida look samoan.

Ive gotta alley oop sumthn with Matthew ‘The Guillotine’ Gaetz. Quatro Quatro, enamorado, me gusta sushi Gato, Kitano ?

        ?

    • My name is also Noa, and I didn’t like it earlier but after I read this I kinda like it. But it’s very annoying when people asks, “are u a boy or a girl” then I have to answer that I am a girl. And that my name is Noa, not Noah.

  6. It’s unique and it’s biblical! I fell in love with it when searching bible names

  7. At first I just liked the sound of it. Then I looked up the meaning and found the story in the Bible about Noah and her sisters petitioning Moses for land in the promised land. They had no brothers and their father was dead so they would receive nothing. Moses asked God and God said it was a good request and they were granted land! I love that she was one of the first feminists mentioned in the Bible. Without an “h”, the name means “movement”. Love that too! Her full name is Noa Irene. Irene means “peace”. So together her name is a peaceful movement.
