  12. I was named to have my dad’s initials and I have always really liked that. We weren’t interested in our baby taking my husband’s name but really liked the idea of him/her having his initials. Before I even knew it was a boy, the name Jaxson really resonated with me and my husband and I both have J names. We never even discussed girl names. So he really has been Jaxson from the very beginning! I like unique spellings, so we steered away from the traditional Jackson.

  15. I love my sons name Jaxson Simon David Gooden. My sons first name actually came from my older sister and I liked the name when she brought it to me and I just added my daddy’s first and middle name and my maiden name for his last name and that’s how I came up with my son name.

  16. My husband liked the name Jack (as in Jack Bauer), but I thought it was too plain, so we agreed on Jaxson. Only dislike is its more popular than we realized. I wanted a more unique name.

  17. We always have had a hard time agreeing on boys names so we got the family involved in this one. I really wanted Dean as a middle name, after my late uncle. My husband liked the nickname potential (Jax) It flowed well, so we picked it!

  18. I picked Jaxson in 2008 just before it shot up on the charts. I liked it because it was strong name and had a cool nickname of Jax.
