And the meaning is light. She’s my first child and she brings joy and love to all of our lives. Reply Victoria Mar 20 at 11:07 am My husband loved the name Lucianna. I thought It was too long, I like short names. We were watching Cruella and in the credits I saw the name Lucia and thought it’s close enough to what he loved but short! I loved the idea of nicknaming her Lu or Luz, also. I mentioned to him and it stuck he wanted nothing to do with any other name after that haha. Her middle name is Diana after my late Grandma who passed away in August. Lucia is her first great-granddaughter and it was only fitting to honor her as she had a significant part in raising me. Reply Angela Sep 13 at 9:30 pm We pronounce it Loo-sha. We chose this name because it means Graceful Light. We also enjoy calling her Lulu. Reply Christie Jun 4 at 10:22 am Lucia means graceful light, which I love. I love the full name as well as nicknames Lucy or Lu. It also sounds good with my other daughter’s name, Livia. Reply Sara May 11 at 11:05 am A beautiful name and we will call her Lucy for short Reply Marissa Feb 18 at 8:40 pm The name meaning is light. Since she’ll be a summer baby I thought that would be very appropriate. Also after the previous year being so dark and rough, I considered how much she already is and will be a light in our lives. Not to mention there was a strong female engineer character in a video game from the 90s with a similar name!
