It was like her father and I with that name love at first sight haha

Also sounds ok in French people’s mouth since we live in Quebec it is important.
Her full name is actually Summer Grace (2 first name)
    Grace after her grandmother (Nona)

  2. Her dad & I were at a Black Keys concert in the Summertime & it just hit me how much I love the Summer! I mentioned liking the name to my husband & he said he loved it! The next day we found out we were having a girl & knew “Summer Joy” was our soon to be little girl 🙂

    • My Granddaughter’s name is Summer Rose, (Rose after her Dad’s Mother). When she was born she had the whitest blonde hair that she looked like a fuzzy dandelion. Now that she is 23 her hair is red. Funny how life is so ironic.

  8. We love u also much

  9. We love u also

  10. Good days ahead

  11. She is my niece and I have her because her mom and dad dont want her

  12. Because just the thought of the name makes me smile

  13. I have always loved the name and even though I know it’s not as unique as some names I feel like it’s a name that is timeless and simple yet bold. I do wish I would of found an alternative way of spelling it that I like but nothing I tried seemed to fit my expectations of a name. I know it’s a name that sounds best on a person with a happy personality instead of someone with a more of a loner personality but it’s my intention to raise her to have a shining attitude and if she isn’t later in life she can always go by her middle name.

  14. I love the name Summer because it’s unique but not to unique that it would be considered weird. I have always loved the name but I chose it because our last name sounds perfect with the name Summer. I worry that she will get called names instead of Summer and that she won’t like her name.

  15. I’ve always wanted my daughters name to be summer

    • When I grow up I want to name one of my girls summer anne because that was my moms name.

  16. We chose the name because we thought it was lovely, and simple. She was born on a summer evening, it seemed fitting.

  17. When we got pregnant with our third child (a girl), our first daughter wanted to decide on her name ASAP. We wanted it to flow with our first two kids’ names, Piper and Tucker, so we decided to narrow down our search to only names that ended in -er (or at least sounded like it ended in -er, as some names that end in -or do). We searched for names that ended in “er” and came up with a list of boys names and a very short list of girls names. I didn’t want a name that would be difficult to pronounce or spell. I also didn’t want a name that could be confused with a last name or a name that could be a boy or girl name. My maiden name was long and difficult to spell/pronounce, which always annoyed me, so I wanted my kids’ names to be easy. My married name is short and easy to spell/pronounce, so we just needed to pick good first names. When we found out our third child was a girl, we reviewed our list of girl names and decided we liked Harper and Summer best. Harper was my favorite, but my sister-in-law mentioned that it was a really popular name. I like unique names so I looked it up and found that Harper had been in the top 10 baby names for the past six years, and I immediately crossed it off the list. I didn’t know any Harpers, but apparently there are a bunch of them! Summer was our other favorite name, so that was it! We googled for middle names that go with Summer and chose Lynn because we liked it and it is my mom and sister’s middle name.
