  5. We liked that the name is Nordic in origin (as are we) but didn’t name our child after any specific family member.

  6. Carson is my maiden name. So his name has significant family meaning for both sides. Carson David Jones. Carson is my maiden name, David is my husbands middle name, my FIL’s name, and my husbands grandfathers middle name. And then Jones is our last name.

It’s still hard getting used to it as a first name when it was my last name for 25 years.

  7. He is named after his grandpas, both of their middle names. I love his name and everything abouthim!

  8. It’s a family name. I think that it’s cute and not overly used. It sounds good with our first child whose name is Parker.

  9. It’s his grandpa on his dads sides middle name.

  10. I named my son Carson. I love the name. Although the name isn’t extremely unique, we still haven’t met many
    Carsons and I like that.

  11. Like the name, also a family name

  12. We loved the name Carson because it sounds current etc but also isn’t used that often.

  13. We liked Cooper and Carter but neither seemed to fit. Then we landed on Carson. Initially we liked the name, and after researching we learned it means “Christian“, which is our older son’s name. So it seemed special to connect them in that subtle way

  14. It was different and means courage. Goes well with his middle and last name

  15. We have a large family and looked at baby names since many we liked are already used.

  16. When we first found out we where pregnant my husband had mentioned the name carson right from the start for a boy and I absolutely loved it. We had a boy name picked out with no problem. We couldn’t decide on a girl name so it worked out that it was a boy.

  17. While dad and I were shopping one day, that name came to dads mind. He said “Carson….that’s it!!” And I too really loved that name for him. Carson Daniel, with his middle name being after my dad, who never had to actually had to be my dad. He raised me…which to me, makes him an incredible man and for that…I named my son after him. ?

  18. We chose the name Carson because it’s classic and adorable. Our last name is Campbell and being a teacher, I love alliterations! Carson Campbell for the win. 🙂
