Reply Katie Dec 28 at 12:59 pm Chose this name for our daughter as a reminder that God is bringing heaven to earth and will make everything new. We delight in His presence (Eden means delight) and our baby girl is SUCH a delight to us! Reply Lisa Aug 15 at 3:50 pm I called my girl Eden. After my grans perfume, she passed away, Reply Kara Nov 4 at 2:10 pm She is beautiful like the Garden of Eden and we can’t wait to watch her grow! Reply Liza Sep 28 at 9:18 am Our faith is hugely important to us, and as our family story has taken us down a path of regenerative farming and a natural lifestyle and a closeness with our Creator, a phrase we use frequently has been “back to the Garden” – as in, a return to the way life was originally created to be. Our baby was born during a big year of transition in that journey, so we chose the name Eden to remind us of this time in our lives as we “return to the Garden”. Reply Ashley Aug 14 at 11:42 am We chose Eden after the garden of Eden. We love names that start with “e” for all of our children, and want each of them to have a religious aspect to their name as well as a family name. So for this baby we chose Eden Grace (Grace being a family name). Reply Ashley Jun 4 at 7:12 am We named her Eden Grace in reference to fall in the garden of Eden. Even though Adam and Eve sinned against God, He gave them grace! We all are sinners and need a lot of grace! We also liked the name Eden because we don’t know hardly any Eden’s, yet Eden is an easy name that’s not far out there. Reply Chelsea Seibert Jul 29 at 12:56 pm I have an Eden Grace too! 🙂 Reply Taylor Mar 9 at 2:25 pm I named her after the Garden in Genesis. When I think about the Garden of Eden I think about the paradise God created for us to dwell in and the promise that He’s going to restore it back to its original glory one day. When I look at my Eden I literally feel the joy and hope of creation in a way I never have before. She’s the first of her generation on my side just like I was. Reply Lisa Dec 3 at 10:50 pm My daughter is Eden as well.. I love the name, even still amd she is 5 amd a half. Now we’re having a second daughter and we can NOT seem to find a name as good. We would like it if it was biblical as well.. but we can’t seem to find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? Reply Adrienne Nov 4 at 11:28 am We truly didn’t choose Eden. I had a time of prayer and truly felt that Eden was at least supposed to be a part of our child’s name. You see we didn’t find the gender out until birth. I honestly thought it was going to be the middle name of either boy or girl. We waited with a list of names to name our child and my husband felt Eden was supposed to be her first given name. I believe that the garden of Eden was a place where we closely walked with God our creator hand in hand without any distraction or separation. When I was talking to God, I felt Him give me Eden as a name because our child would walk with Him hand in hand without distraction. I had never thought of the name Eden and it was truly just placed before me. We love her name! Only downfall. Sounds a lot like Eaten. We hope our little one will roll with whatever comes her way haha! 🙂 Reply eden Oct 6 at 11:56 am my name is eden what a surprise o-o lol Reply Rachael Oct 6 at 3:36 pm Wanted a name from the Bible. Reply Heather Sep 19 at 9:42 am I like Eden because its biblical. Hebrew. And because it has to do with nature. Reply Ashton Apr 14 at 11:29 am My husband and I had several baby girl names picked out that we liked, but were struggling to find a name we loved. So, I decided to pray and ask Heavenly Father what name our baby girl might want, or if He had a name for her already. The next day I was scrolling through names online and the name Eden stuck out to me and I couldn’t get it out of my head. I knew that was the name our baby wanted! I ran it by my husband and family and they all fell in love instantly with the name! Reply Meredith Aug 8 at 3:16 pm My daughter is Eden Hope as well. We’re trying to name our second daughter, due in December and it feels much more difficult this time. Reply Katie Jul 6 at 10:09 pm I chose the name Eden because I wanted something different but not crazy. Her middle name is Lily (my favorite flower). Eden- after the garden or Eden and Lily being my favorite flower. Reply Chelsea Jun 14 at 9:22 am We wanted a unique biblical girl name. Reply Nicole Apr 13 at 7:21 pm We liked Eden because it was unique and found in the Bible. We knew it was used for both boys and girls but it seems to suit whoever the child is.
