The word Faith flashed across my mind, and all the areas of my life that would be affected by it. Pondering the word a few days later, it dawned on me that it might one day be my little girl’s name, not a name I would normally choose… I was also single at the time. Fast forward to May of 2020, I moved back home to be closer to family during such a crazy time. I went to a Bible study with my brother and saw Sterling, who is now my husband. I never told anyone about the word Faith. When Sterling and I were engaged, he left me a random voice note saying this: “Hey, I hope this isn’t too forward and sorry if it is, but, if we ever have a girl, what do you think about the name Faith?” And here she is. 11 days old. ? Reply Sarah Sep 14 at 1:42 am I had the name Faith planned for a girl just before I was pregnant. God had put in my heart that I would have a baby girl one day and name her Faith. I had major baby fever at the time. Then a couple of months later I found out I was pregnant a little earlier then my husband and I were planning and it was a girl. (My husband really wanted Hope which is nice too, but God had set Faith in my heart and I prayed that my husband would feel strong about it too.) I had my little baby Faith 1 week ago. She is definitely a blessing from God. Reply Mama Samantha Jun 30 at 8:17 am Without Faith it’s impossible to please God! Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Reply faith Jun 21 at 5:43 pm its my name and i like it Reply Faith Oct 11 at 4:19 am I ma also faith!!! Reply Faith Jan 5 at 11:39 pm I’m Faith also! I was named that in the 50’s and never knew another Faith until a couple of years ago. Since then i known a few. We ended up watching Flywheel and at the end of the movie they have a baby girl and the dad said her name and we just knew that was the name and The Lord helped us pick it out!! <3 We also love how uncommon it is (to us anyway), we only know one Faith and it's the famous one lol Reply Annita Oct 12 at 3:24 am I chose the name faith because of what I was going through my pregnancy, this child gave me the reason of being strong happy ND never giving up so she is my faith, I love the name ND not willing to change it Reply Lisa Aug 6 at 9:03 pm Because I’m older and finally was blessed with a babygirl by surprise and with a rough pregnancy and birth. Though before i was pregnant, i had said i wanted a girl and strongly believed she’s a girl that i even bought her 1st dress before i was 2 month . Reply Alexandra Jun 8 at 2:58 pm Whats funny is before we found put we were having a girl, we had only boys names that we liked. We couldn’t agree on one single girl name. We wanted a name that had meaning. It was frustrating. Then one day in the car the name came to me. I told my husband and it just made sense. We chose Faith because it was the recurring theme of the year before and the months during my pregnancy…Do we have faith? Do we have faith God will take care of us? Do we have faith that He will take care of her? Do we have faith that regardless of circumstances and impossibilities, that God is who He says he is? It really is a perfect name for us/her because it is a very real tangible reminder every day to have faith. Reply Kala Apr 22 at 2:21 pm We just had the name picked out for a couple years.
